Azalea

'Sherwood Orchid'

 

When Azaleas bloom, the flowers are so profuse the entire plant is blanketed with color.  The leaves are usually small, narrow and pointed, often with small hairs on the edges.  The 'Sherwood Orchid' Azalea is a spreading, compact plant with numerous single, violet flowers with a darker blotch. 

 

Bloom Time:  Early May (mid-season).

Growth Habit:  Spreading, Compact, 3-5' in height.

Foliage:  Green.

Sun/Shade:  Sun, Partial Shade.

Hardiness Zones:  5-10.
